I first became a fan about three years after reading his essay on the writing process. I liked how he said that writing wasn't about putting down your ideas. Writing was about coming up with ideas. Brilliant. Then there was the essay to students about what to do with the rest of their lives. That was as good if not better than Steve Jobs speech. "
